Found abandoned in rural Waller County, Texas, this little Chihuahua managed to survive on his own until a dedicated emergency foster rescued him. Now, he's safe with a loving foster family, discovering what it means to be cherished. Nitro is affectionate and enjoys playing with toys, delighting in zoomies around the yard, and taking cozy naps snuggled next to his favorite person. At night, he quietly sleeps in his crate, is accident-free, and is making great strides with his potty training. Like many dogs who've been abandoned, Nitro can be a bit cautious when meeting new men. His past has made him slow to trust, but with patience and kindness, he's gradually gaining confidence. Once he feels secure, his sweet, loving personality shines through brightly. Nitro gets along well with both dogs and cats. He would love to have a friendly canine buddy to play with, but he would also thrive as the only pet, soaking up all the love and attention. His lovely white coat is coming back beautifully, with cute tan spots appearing across his back. Those oversized ears and light amber-gray eyes only add to his charm.
