Meet Suki! Suki is a senior cat looking for a kindred spirit who will appreciate her independent nature. She enjoys attention and petting from her familiar people but prefers to keep strangers at bay, often expressing this sentiment with a "pet me with your eyes" approach. She came into our care when her previous home no longer suited her needs. In a new environment, Suki craves peace and quiet, plus cozy spots where she can soak up the sun and observe the world outside without interruptions. Though she might not be the most easygoing cat, Suki's personality shines through once she feels safe. Being a bit slower on her feet these days, she would benefit from some adjustments in her space, like pet steps and non-slip surfaces. Daily playtime will keep her mind engaged and encourage healthy movement. A secure outdoor space like a screened porch would be wonderful, but her days of roaming freely are behind her. Suki cannot live with other cats or children, as both have caused her stress in the past, but she may get along with a respectful, cat-savvy dog.
