About Maggie Alabama

Maggie Alabama is a resilient girl, named for her rescue in Alabama where she faced serious health challenges. Now, she proudly flaunts her fluffy soft coat and maintains a healthy weight of 39 lbs. This young lady is crate and house trained, and her foster parent, a skilled trainer, has helped her learn to walk well on a leash. Maggie thoroughly enjoys belly rubs and snuggling on the couch, but she also loves going for walks and car rides. Currently heartworm positive, Maggie has begun treatment, fully covered by the rescue, and she will be spayed after her recovery. Calm and gentle, she would thrive in a family environment or with older adults. A fenced yard would be ideal for her privacy while doing her business. Maggie gets along well with dogs, children, and people, and we're optimistic she'll do fine with cats too. This could be the start of something paw-some!
