About Josie

Meet Josie, a lovely 5-month-old, 26 lb female Retriever and Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. With one brown eye and one ice blue eye, she’s incredibly photogenic. Rescued with her siblings, Josie is adapting well to life in her foster home. She's playful and sweet, though she can be a bit of a bed hog—perfect for winter snuggles. Josie is crate trained, but she prefers the couch or bed and loves to bask in the sun. She’s also practicing her leash manners and adjusting to new experiences, so patience will help her thrive. Good news: she's already house trained, especially with potty pads! Josie has shared her space with kids and would enjoy gentle little ones or doggie companions. Although she can be timid at times, her affectionate nature shines through. Josie is ready to find her forever home and start building bonds with her new family. Let’s meet and see if you two are a perfect fit!
