Meet Slablab, a lively 16-week-old Dalmatian/Boxer mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Weighing in at 25 lbs, this playful girl doesn't let her deafness hold her back. She's filled with joy and ready to find her forever home. Slablab loves her toys, enjoys tug-of-war, and makes friends with everything and everyone she meets, including dogs and cats. While she might occasionally persuade the cats to join her for a game, she reads other dogs’ social cues well. A canine companion in her new home would be a great help in building her confidence. This happy pup is doing well on a leash, travels comfortably in a car, and approaches vet visits without a fuss. She enjoys navigating stairs and sleeps soundly through the night curled beside her favorite humans. Slablab has adapted well to being crated for her meals, but she might sneak a bite from her foster siblings’ bowls, so a slow feeder is recommended for her meal times. Like any young puppy, Slablab needs continued potty and crate training, socialization, and positive reinforcement. An experienced owner with knowledge of deaf or special needs dogs would be a fantastic match, but commitment and patience are what matter most. It's important that someone is home more than away to support her development, as crating for long periods isn’t suitable for her age. This cuddly, resilient puppy is up to date on her vaccinations and will be adopted with a spay/neuter contract.
