Zula came to rescue emaciated and pregnant after life as a stray, and sadly lost her entire litter due to her condition. With time and care, she’s bounced back both physically and emotionally. Zula’s still young and tends to get mouthy and nippy when excited, but she’s been working hard on her manners, especially with leash training and curbing rough puppy habits. She’s been around other dogs in her foster homes—she can be selective but has lived peacefully with several companions and enjoys playtime with visiting dogs. Her foster reports that Zula loves to bask in the sun, play fetch, and zoom around with her rope toy. She’s sweet, affectionate, and picks up new skills quickly—puzzle toys don’t last long with her. Crate training is second nature; Zula settles in comfortably and sleeps soundly through the night. Thunderstorms and fireworks don’t phase her. She’s eager to please, knows basic commands, and likes to relax in her dog bed when playtime’s over.
