About Dexter
Dexter is an active and intelligent dog currently residing at Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center. He’s part of a program called LIFT University, helping him build confidence and manage his energy levels. His friends at the shelter describe him as food-oriented and eager to learn. Dexter enjoys the company of other dogs and requires a home with at least one canine buddy to help him adjust. He is best suited for families with children aged six and older, as he tends to feel nervous in busy or loud environments. His adoption also comes with a complimentary private training session, and he will need to wear a martingale collar for safety. Dexter thrives in an environment where his new family is attentive to his body language during playtime, ensuring a good time for everyone. He’ll do best in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can safely release his energy. Ready to meet Dexter? Click apply to start the adoption process!
