Meet Bodie, a charming 14-year-old Shih Tzu with a heart full of love to give. Despite his senior status, Bodie enjoys the little adventures in life, especially walks or car rides, and he loves snuggling up by your side. His previous owner cherished him deeply, and now, as she faces health challenges, she hopes to find him a warm and loving new home. Bodie is happiest indoors, where he’s part of the family. He enjoys free run of the house, has a slight preference for sleeping right on the bed with his human, and is used to companionship without being alone for more than about four hours at a time. He is affectionate and gentle, and he benefits from a little grooming here and there. While his hearing has dulled with age, he understands routines and responds well to tasty treats. Bodie hasn’t lived with kids, dogs, or cats. He can be a bit uncertain around unfamiliar dogs and may need a proper introduction. He also has a sensitive spot on his right hip, so a family who respects his boundaries is ideal. Bodie would fit beautifully into a quiet home with a loving individual or couple who want a devoted companion to share cozy moments.
