About Jinx
Jinx is an 8-year-old male Beagle mix with a sweet disposition that would make you think he’s much younger. He was with the same family for years, but circumstances have led him to seek a new home. Jinx thrives in a country setting, enjoying freedom and the excitement of running alongside an ATV. He’s affectionate, often sitting up on his hind legs with his paws in the air, eager for chest and belly rubs. This charming dog has a great rapport with both dogs and cats, quickly warming up to his current family. Unfortunately, they worry about not having enough time to devote to him due to their busy lives. Jinx deserves a family that can make him a true part of their lives, giving him plenty of opportunities for walks, hikes, playtime, and cuddles on the couch. In good physical health, he’s intelligent and responds well to training, ready to take on mental challenges. Jinx has shown improvement in overcoming some fear-based behaviors since finding love and security with his current caretakers. He's still learning to feel safe after a significant change in his life, which we understand can take time. While he has exhibited slight food guarding tendencies around people food, he's perfectly fine with his own meals and treats. Jinx also has some separation anxiety, a common reaction for a dog who has recently lost his family. It would be wonderful to find him a home where he can join his humans on the couch and in bed. If you're interested in adopting a joyous companion, Jinx could be the dog for you! He is truly one of the sweetest dogs around and would make an incredible addition to any home.
