About Ace

Ace is a charming Black Lab and Bluetick Hound mix. He’s still waiting to be neutered, but we can help with that at a reduced cost if he’s brought to Middlebury. Ace thrives on companionship and can experience some separation anxiety, likely due to being moved around previously. He truly needs a loving and stable home that can embrace him as a family member. Having interacted with kids, Ace showed excitement, even trying to jump up in his enthusiasm, but he adapted quickly to their presence. Although he's eager to learn, his current family hasn’t been able to focus on training him consistently, particularly curbing his jumping when excited. Ace is a smart boy and picks up commands quickly when given the right attention. This is a rehoming situation, and our standard adoption fee does not apply. We recommend multiple meetings to ensure the fit is right for both Ace and any potential adopters. This approach has led to smoother transitions for dogs into new families. If you want to give Ace the loving home he deserves, reach out to us for more information.
