Laika is a gentle, three-year-old, 55-pound husky who thrives in a serene environment. She loves to lounge in the yard, charm guests, and soak up belly rubs. Calm and quiet, she rarely barks, and her food motivation makes training a bit easier. Since being adopted in April, Laika has found urban life a bit overwhelming. She seeks a home with a peaceful yard and a secure fence, as she has a tendency to chase small critters. Currently, Laika does well when meeting other dogs on walks, though she has some challenges with indoor interactions—training is underway to help her improve. While she hasn’t been tested with children, her gentle demeanor suggests that she could adapt well to older kids. The right adopters will use positive reinforcement and patience, as Laika is sensitive and doesn't handle being in a locked crate well.
