Popcorn is an energetic and playful 9-week-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who weighs in at just 4.5 pounds. This tiny pup is expected to grow to around 10-12 pounds as an adult, following in his mother's footsteps who is fully grown at 10 pounds. Popcorn’s story began in rural New Mexico when his mom, unaware she was pregnant, was adopted from a shelter that doesn’t spay or neuter pets before adoption. When life circumstances changed, mom and her six adorable puppies made their way to safety with our rescue. Popcorn is seeking a family ready for some lively fun and laughter while training a young puppy. He’s a blank slate, ready to learn and grow in a home where patience and consistency are key. Ideal candidates include those who work from home or have ample time to devote to puppy training. Popcorn also gets along well with dogs and would thrive in a family with kids 6 years or older. While Popcorn is up to date on vaccinations, he is too young to be neutered. However, neutering is essential for completing the adoption process and must occur before he turns one year old. Farfel's Rescue, the organization that cares for him, offers a one-week trial period to ensure that both Popcorn and his new family can find a good fit.
