At around one year old, these Shepherd mixes have come from a situation where they weren't handled or socialized, leaving them extremely fearful of people and nearly feral. Jackyl, the white male, shows more bravery while Jett, the black-and-tan female, depends on him for confidence. They won't be dogs that immediately seek affection or interaction; right now, touching them requires cornering them, which makes them anxious. They are not aggressive but deeply scared. They need an adopter who understands fear-based behavior and is committed to allowing them to simply exist without pressure. The ideal home for Jackyl and Jett is calm, quiet, and patient, with no expectations for interaction or quick progress. These two deserve a chance to decompress and gradually build trust at their own pace. It's vital that they are adopted together, as separating them would increase their anxiety.
