About Maize
Meet Mama Maize! This lovely young tuxedo cat is less than a year old and has already displayed remarkable resilience, raising two adorable kittens after being rescued from a hoarding situation while pregnant. Now, it’s her turn to receive love and attention. Mama Maize is a petite sweetheart who enjoys being petted and welcomes affection from her caregivers. She has a playful side—just bring out a wand toy, and you'll witness her vibrant spirit as she leaps and twirls! Though she can be squirmy when picked up, she's happiest when showered with love on her own terms. A peaceful home would be perfect for her to unwind and enjoy the life she deserves. She gets along well with other cats, having lived with many before her rescue, but she isn’t comfortable around dogs. Fully vetted and well-mannered, Mama Maize is a quiet companion when she’s not engaged in playtime or enjoying time with her humans. Ready to close the chapter on her past, she is seeking a family to call her own. Could that be you? Mama Maize is currently being fostered in Ansonia, CT. She's spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Arrangements for meet-and-greets can be done after an application is submitted and approved. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
