About Amyrlin
Amyrlin is still learning to navigate a world that has been overwhelming for her. She often hides in her kennel and can even dash away outside, embodying a spirit that’s still healing from past trauma. Injuries to her side and face suggest she’s faced challenges we can only imagine. Beneath her nerves, you can catch glimpses of a sweet girl longing for comfort and connection. Amyrlin requires a safe, calm home where she can decompress—not another kennel. This gentle soul will eventually accept love and pets when she feels sufficiently relaxed. Chicago Animal Care and Control, located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, welcomes walk-in visitors daily from 12pm to 7pm. If you're looking to adopt, plan to arrive before 5:30pm to meet Amyrlin and other wonderful animals. All dogs are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before going to their forever homes.
