About Holly
Holly is a striking black and white Husky/Lab mix with both brains and a big personality. At just over three years old and about 56 pounds, she’s playful, silly, affectionate, and sharp—though she can be a little headstrong when she wants! Holly picks up commands quickly and knows exactly how to win over her people with tricks like sit, down, paw (both paws), and roll-over. House and crate training are solid. She fits in well with apartment living, stays pretty quiet, and thrives on routine walks. Tennis balls are her favorite find; she’ll scoop one up on every outing if she gets the chance. In the home, Holly can channel her energy into zoomies or just flop down for a cozy snuggle right on your lap. She adores people, gives out kisses freely, and travels beautifully in the car. She gets along well with other dogs, but she isn’t a fit for homes with cats due to her high prey drive—she’ll chase bunnies and birds without hesitation. Holly is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and her health is excellent. She’s currently fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood and comes with all her essentials. Holly’s birthday makes her a Scorpio, so you can count on big loyalty and a little bit of spice. Ready to meet a dog with smarts, style, and a playful soul? Questions about Holly
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Holly’s mixed Husky/Black Lab background means she can adapt to both apartments and houses, especially if she gets regular exercise and attention. She’ll thrive in a loving home with space to relax after playtime.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Holly loves to zoom and play ball, so a yard or trips to the park are nice, but she’ll settle well in an apartment as long as she gets daily walks and play sessions.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Both Huskies and Black Labs are known for affectionate, playful natures, so Holly’s breed blend can do well with respectful children who understand how to behave around dogs.
