Papaya is a petite, scruffy sweetheart with a soft heart and a quietly blossoming personality. She didn't have much human interaction in her early life, so the world of being a "house dog" is still a little new to her—but she's making beautiful progress every day. Initially, Papaya is a gentle observer. It may take her some time to feel safe around new people, but once she trusts you, her true self shines through: silly, affectionate, and deeply devoted. She loves staying close to her favorite humans and has become a wonderful office companion, happily relaxing while her foster works. Living with two large dogs, she interacts well with dogs of all sizes. Though hesitant initially, she warms up with time and enjoys playful interactions. Papaya often looks to her dog friends for reassurance, so a confident canine companion would be beneficial. She's also been around cats, opting to mind her own business around them. With excellent house manners, Papaya sleeps soundly through the night and has a healthy appetite. She's comfortable in her crate, particularly when paired with a dog buddy, which helps her feel secure. Papaya seeks a patient, understanding home where she can build confidence at her own pace.
