About Beryl
Beryl has been waiting over a year to find her forever home, and we know someone special is out there for her. Also known as Bea, she joined the rescue as a puppy in 2017 and was adopted by her foster mom, Kim, who unfortunately passed away suddenly. Since March 2025, Bea has been in her current foster home, gradually warming up to new people. She's made amazing strides, even joining her foster mom at work, showing that she can be brave in new environments. Despite being a spunky senior, Bea has a few preferences when it comes to her living situation. Ideally, she would thrive as the only dog in the home, as she enjoys having her space to herself. Although she’s friendly with neighboring dogs and loves outdoor play sessions, she prefers not to share her home with another dog. She’s okay with cats that ignore her, making for a potentially harmonious household. Bea isn’t fond of car rides, vet visits, or grooming, so her foster is trying to ease her into those experiences. She's quite unique in personality—self-sufficient yet occasionally affectionate, she likes to check in for some attention or a snack but doesn’t demand constant affection. Bea is fine being left alone for a while, making her suitable for families who work outside the home. Spry for her age, she zooms around the yard like a playful puppy, though she does have a mischievous side—she loves stealing toilet paper rolls and will happily dig through to find something to munch on. Currently in Nashville, TN, Bea is ready to travel for the right adopter. Is that you? Bea is looking for a special someone to help her find her happy ending. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
