About Lucky and Piper

Meet Lucky and Piper! These two loyal boys are currently in Ocala, FL, and their bond is a beautiful reminder that some friendships are meant to last a lifetime. You'll often find them resting side by side, moving through each day with a comforting rhythm. Keeping them together preserves the companionship that helps them feel secure. Lucky, the devoted American Pitbull Terrier mix, is seven years old and weighs about 55 pounds. He thrives on close companionship and loves to be near his person. Once he trusts you, he opens his heart completely, wagging his tail while looking up at you. He's eager to learn and knows commands like sit, come, and shake. Because of his strong prey drive, Lucky needs a home without cats, birds, or small animals, and a securely fenced yard is essential. He does best with a patient, experienced owner, particularly a woman, as he tends to warm up to females more readily. Lucky requires daily medication for anxiety during storms and needs access to vehicles via a ramp or steps as he cannot be picked up. Piper, the gentle soul of the pair, is a twelve-year-old Hound mix weighing 68 pounds. He will turn thirteen in May. Friendly, easygoing, and calm, Piper gets along well with children, dogs, and even cats. He enjoys soft beds, predictable routines, and peaceful moments with his loved ones. This duo has been a devoted companion for their caregivers during tough times. They both need a new home where their bond will be honored, along with a securely fenced yard and ongoing veterinary care. If you're interested in giving Lucky and Piper the loving home they deserve, please email adopt@joyfulpets.com for more information on adopting them! They will remain with their current family until a suitable forever home is found. Your new best friends are just one click away.
