Meet Lugnut, a 1-year-old Cane Corso with the heart of a gentle giant. He has clearly known love, and it shows. Lugnut arrived at our rescue as a stray, and it’s obvious he had been cared for at some point. He leans into people with his entire body, loving closeness and comfort. Despite his impressive size, he has the Cane Corso softness that makes him hard to resist. If you want a big, affectionate dog, Lugnut is your guy. He’s calm, sweet, and incredibly people-oriented. While his size might initially intimidate other dogs, he has passed his dog test with flying colors, showcasing gentle and appropriate behavior. Just a heads-up: he might need slow introductions with dogs that are not used to large breeds. Lugnut did well during his cat test, staying gentle and curious even when startled by a feisty feline. A confident cat who is accustomed to big dogs would be an ideal match. He seeks a home with children aged 10 and older who can respect his boundaries, as he has some resource guarding tendencies when pushed.
