Khadija is one of those dogs whose love is waiting to be discovered. A member of our Missed Connections club, she has been patiently looking for her forever home. This sweet girl enjoys both indoor and outdoor play, and she loves fetch just like a puppy, even getting a kick out of de-stuffing her toys. She spent time in a foster home, where she adapted well and even accompanied her family in public, including outings to dog-friendly patios. Khadija is very loyal and tends to stick close to her favorite people, warming up to new faces with a little time. Leash walks are a breeze for her, and she's made great progress with her potty training. She uses her kennel as a cozy retreat while her humans are around but struggles with being left alone when they leave. Khadija is best suited for a calm home environment as young children, hustle, and bustle can create anxiety for her. Previously living with another dog, she prefers canine friends that are playful yet not overly boisterous. She's a bit particular about her space, especially regarding food and toys, so a family with another dog will need to manage sharing effectively. Khadija has completed her heartworm treatment and will receive a follow-up check soon. She may also have allergies that need monitoring.
