About Smores
Meet Smores! This little one was born outside and found her way to us through our Community Cats program. With limited human interaction, she’ll need a patient adopter prepared for a gentle transition into home life. While settling in, Smores might hide at first, so we recommend confining her to a crate temporarily. This will help her explore her new surroundings while feeling secure. If you don’t have a crate, we can lend you one until she’s comfortable. Expect some backslides in behavior as she adjusts; if she purred here at the shelter, she’ll likely do so again in time. Engaging her with food will help build her confidence—try offering wet food while gently petting her, or even hand-feeding if she’s too scared to be touched right away. Plus, if you have another friendly cat at home, it could make her adjustment even smoother. Smores is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and has been seen by our veterinarian.
