Meet Mondo. At 3 years old and around 45 pounds, he’s your pocket-sized pittie. Compact and tank-like, he has a face that brings a smile every day. Don't let his size fool you; his heart is huge. Some pets slip quietly into your heart; Mondo leaps right in. He’s completely won us over. Although his past is a mystery, we know he deserves all the love he’s receiving now. Since coming into foster care, he has revealed himself to be a wonderful companion. After just one day, Joel said, "This is the best dog you've ever had," and we couldn't agree more. Mondo makes life better simply by being in it. His easygoing, sweet personality wins everyone over. He loves walks, enjoys time with his people, and is perfectly content with belly rubs after a day of adventure. He seeks love and gives it back in spades. His house manners are impeccable. He’s had no accidents in foster care and is trusted to roam freely because he doesn’t chew or get into mischief. Mondo also gets along well with dogs, kids, and cats, making him the ideal addition to any family. His gentle nature shines through with everyone he meets. Mondo loves treats, especially watermelon; he thinks everything served is for him. His enthusiasm for food adds to his charm. When he arrived at the Tennessee shelter, he had paint on his coat, visible in the lighter patches. Despite his past, he remains one of the sweetest dogs we’ve had the honor to foster. Currently, he’s getting the royal treatment in his foster home, working on healthy weight gain with nutritious meals, probiotics, and plenty of walks. He’s truly cherished and getting to live the dog life he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal, goofy, affectionate companion with excellent house manners, Mondo may be your perfect match.
