Maya is a sweet three-year-old pit bull mix who deserves a break from shelter life. The noise and chaos around her create a lot of anxiety, causing her to act out in her kennel. She paces, barks, and drools, which has affected her ability to relax. Yet, the real Maya shines outside those walls. On her Doggy Day Out, she transformed into a calm, affectionate companion who walks well on a leash and loves spending time with people. She’s gentle and good with children aged three and up. However, she needs a home without cats. Maya is already housetrained and prefers a quiet, patient environment. Ideally, she would thrive with someone who works from home or is retired, offering Maya the time and reassurance she needs to feel safe again. She is available for both fostering and adoption.
