About Costello
Costello is a senior mixed-breed pit bull terrier with a gentle soul and years of gratitude behind his eyes. At around ten years old, he’s been through more than most and it shows in his slow, careful movements. He arrived as a stray, alongside his more energetic friend Abbott—now happily adopted—while Costello stayed behind, steadily regaining his strength with dedicated care. He’s been working through old injuries and chronic Lyme disease, building muscle in his back legs with daily exercises and ongoing physical therapy. Water therapy is next on his list, promising further progress. Costello manages some residual mobility issues and wears a doggie diaper when needed due to a bit of incontinence, but improvements keep coming. Through it all, he remains quiet, patient, and appreciative of gentle handling. Costello gets along well with both dogs and cats, and would do best in a calm home with someone patient and kind. He’s house trained and easy to live with, looking for a place to rest and feel safe in his golden years. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
