Born on June 8, 2017, Ruby is a senior who truly enjoys the simple pleasures in life—a cozy bed, a predictable routine, and of course, good air conditioning. This lovely girl has a slight limp in her back hip, but it doesn’t hold her back from enjoying her days. She takes her time, especially when it comes to navigating stairs. Ruby is incredibly friendly and loves people; she’ll greet you with a wagging tail. However, she prefers to be approached for affection. She’s quite chatty, especially when treats are involved, so be cautious when handing them out—her enthusiasm sometimes leads to an accidental nip! Housebroken and crate trained, Ruby spends most of her time outside the crate due to her well-behaved nature. She walks nicely on a leash and rides well in the car. Ruby gets along well with dogs of various sizes, demonstrating wonderful manners around her furry friends. This gentle soul flourishes in peaceful environments, and loud noises can frighten her. Ruby just wants a loving family that understands her needs. Though she has slight skin allergies from her previous home, they have significantly improved with the right care.
