This gorgeous girl is about 4 years old and weighs 56 lbs. Daisy’s story is one of strength and love — after losing her home, she found herself homeless with 7 newborn puppies to care for. Luckily, she found a safe place with the wonderful Karen Parker Kilgore, where she’s been the best mama ever! Now that Daisy’s babies are 7 weeks old, they’re ready to start their own journeys — and Daisy is finally ready for some me time! She’s looking forward to a well-deserved break and a forever home of her own. Unfortunately, Daisy tested heartworm positive, a completely preventable condition that has put a temporary damper on her health. The SPCA of East Texas will be providing her heartworm treatment — but as you can imagine, it’s a costly process. Daisy and all her pups will also receive vaccinations, microchips, and spay/neuter procedures when they’re ready. Because she’s been focused on being a devoted mama, Daisy hasn’t been fully evaluated with other animals just yet. What we do know is that she absolutely LOVES people — she’s a total cuddlebug who was probably someone’s big lap dog once upon a time. She housebroken, walks beautifully on a leash, and rides well in the car. Daisy will need a privacy fenced in yard and, most importantly, a family who will love her always and forever.
