About Dakota
Dakota is a truly remarkable pup who has overcome significant challenges. Rescued from a burning burn pit, she carries a few scars and bare patches as reminders of her journey, but those don’t detract from her beauty. At just four months old and weighing around 20 pounds, she’s a blend of calm and playful, offering the perfect mix of snuggles and zoomies. This sweet girl is kennel trained, sleeps through the night, and already knows a few commands like 'sit' and 'kennel.' She responds well to gentle corrections and has shown great progress in potty training, scratching at the door when she’s ready to come back in. Dakota can be a bit shy with new people, but she quickly warms up, revealing her affectionate side that loves pawing for attention or leaning against you. She gets along wonderfully with kids and other dogs, but because of her energetic nature, she is better suited to homes without senior dogs. Dakota is eager to learn and thrives in a family that will continue teaching her. She enjoys playtime, especially with her plush duck toys, and she behaves well in the car. Although she isn't a fan of baths, she tolerates them when the water is warm. With her kind heart and playful spirit, Dakota is just waiting for a family to call her own.
