About Alpha
Meet Alpha! This 9-year-old Husky came to the shelter during a diabetic crisis and received urgent care at an emergency veterinary hospital. Now stable, he requires insulin injections twice a day, regular blood glucose monitoring, and a controlled diet to manage his diabetes. Additionally, Alpha is visually impaired. In spite of his challenges, Alpha remains a sweet and gentle companion. He enjoys being around people, soaking up affection, and taking long naps. Outside of his medication schedule, he’s an easygoing buddy, walking beautifully on a leash and savoring leisurely strolls where he can explore the world at his own pace. Alpha would be happiest in a home with children aged 10 and older, and he should be kept separate from other animals for now. He is set to be neutered once he’s feeling his best. Alpha is currently available for temporary foster, foster-to-adopt, or adoption. Give him the loving forever home he deserves. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
