Goldie is on a quest for a forever family after her incredible journey from Azerbaijan to Canada. This beautiful 6-year-old retriever mix has endured a lot, including surgeries for papillomas and years of waiting in a dog yard. Now thriving in foster care in London, Ontario, she is ready to experience the love and care she has always craved. Gentle and affectionate, Goldie loves being surrounded by her people. She follows you around the house, simply wanting to be close. Her foster mom describes her as an exceptional family dog—calm and patient, even with energetic kids, earning her the nickname "mother's helper." Goldie is also friendly with other dogs and would enjoy sharing her home with a furry companion. While she’s shown curiosity towards cats, she’d do best in a cat-free environment or one with gradual introductions. A fenced yard is perfect for her, as it allows her to roam and play; she loves nothing more than being outdoors with the children following their antics. Goldie isn't quite fond of leash walks yet, but that may change as she adapts. One of her charming quirks is her love for music. When tunes play, she listens intently, sometimes even chiming in with her own soft melody. Now, Goldie is ready for the good life—exploring a yard, watching children, and finally being someone’s beloved dog. She is spayed, vaccinated, house trained, and excited to find her forever home.
