Meet Hector! This handsome boy was found wandering the streets of Houston, struggling to survive alone as a young puppy. He had no family, no safe shelter, and no one to watch over him. Thankfully, a local shelter rescued him and provided a safe haven until one of our wonderful foster families could step in. Instead of living in a cold, loud shelter, Hector is learning what love feels like while he waits for his forever home. Hector is a Standard Schnauzer, about five months old, and weighs around 35 pounds. He is already house trained and kennel trained. Hector thrives in the company of children, gets along well with other dogs, and shares a friendly rapport with cats. He walks nicely on a leash and enjoys car rides. Known for their intelligence and loyalty, Standard Schnauzers form strong bonds with their families. They are playful, athletic, and eager learners, making them great companions for active households. Hector enjoys being involved in every aspect of family life and requires regular exercise and positive training to thrive. At his young age, Hector is still full of potential. He needs a family that will prioritize spending quality time together, guiding him in building confidence and manners.
