This playful young male loves cheek and chin scratches and often seems torn between pretending to be tough and enjoying the cuddles. He’s active and full of energy, frequently found climbing and playing with crinkle toys, feather wands, and balls. When he’s not seeking adventure, you’ll catch him curled up with his siblings. Pepper is good with respectful kids and is cautious around dogs; however, we believe he could adapt to a canine sibling with ease. As a panleukopenia survivor from summer 2026, it’s crucial for potential adopters to understand that his neuter will be delayed until November-December 2026. Additionally, monitoring for any sign of FIP, a treatable condition more common in panleukopenia survivors, is necessary. Adopters must commit to treatment and will need to reach out to HDDCR before considering euthanasia. Happy Days Dog & Cat Rescue asks that adopters sign a Spay/Neuter Contract if pets are too young for sterilization upon adoption. This contract confirms the commitment to have Pepper altered within a specified timeframe. A refundable deposit is also held until proof of spaying or neutering is provided.
