My name is Ginger Spice and in January I was rescued from a hoarding house along with several other kittens. I had a very tough start to life... I didn't have consistent meals, areas to go to the bathroom, clean space, and so I have a lot of distrust when it comes to humans. My foster mom likes to think she's a cat whisperer and I've given her a run for her money over the last couple months. I hissed and swatted at her constantly for the first month living with her, but over the last few weeks I've started letting her pet me for just a few moments before I let her know I've had enough. I haven't hissed at her in a long time though! I prefer to be left alone and while I like the other kitties I was rescued from the hoarding house with, I am not sure about other cats. All I've known in life has been fear, and it's only been a couple months living in a foster home with an endless supply of food, water, fresh litter, and all the love a kitty could ask for...I've softened since learning life doesn't need to be so scary, so I'm confident I'll continue to soften in the right home.
