About Red

Meet Red, a spirited 3-year-old Cattle Dog mix weighing around 50 pounds. After losing his beloved owner, Red was taken in by a neighbor who rescues animals, and he's flourished ever since. This enthusiastic pup is all about fun, whether it's playing with other dogs, exploring his surroundings, or enjoying a good romp in the yard. Red is also a big cuddle-bug, always eager to snuggle up and soak in affection. He is crate and potty trained and will politely whine when he needs to go outside. Learning the ins and outs of indoor life has come easily to him, and he greets everyone with a charming lean for love. Red enjoys the company of other dogs and loves to play and be goofy with them. He knows basic commands like “sit” and “lay down,” and while he’s still mastering leash training, he’s eager to learn. Although he hasn't lived with kids, he’s been friendly with the neighbor kids during their street play. An active home would be ideal for Red, where he can continue to learn and be part of the family. Red is in Houston, TX, but can be transported to most states for an additional fee of $300.
