About Opie

Meet Opie, a charming male Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix with a playful spirit, now ready for a loving home. Weighing around 16 pounds, Opie is just over a year old and has a heart full of affection. Though he was found as a stray, this little guy has quickly adjusted to life in his foster home and is eager to find a forever family. Opie is still mastering his potty training. While he knows to go outside first thing in the morning, he’ll need some guidance to finish up outside completely. He does well in a kennel at night, finding comfort with a soft blanket. Energetic and alert, Opie enjoys running in the yard and will happily bark to let you know when someone is around. Previous interactions with older dogs went well; Opie can be a bit too energetic for calmer companions, so a playful dog might be the perfect match for him! He hasn't spent time with kids yet, but supervision would likely help him fit right in. This affectionate pup craves attention and will stick close to you on the couch. If you’re ready for a loving companion who’s also a natural protector, Opie would love to meet you! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
