About Boots
Meet Boots! This 2-year-old, 70-pound Hound is a gentle giant with an even bigger heart. He loves nothing more than being near his people—leaning against your leg, resting his head in your lap, or soaking up all the love and attention he can get. Boots adores people, especially kids, and he’s looking for a family where he can be the center of attention. Boots has a bit of a tragic past; he was found abandoned alongside his senior sisters, left behind when their owner was arrested for dumping them. While his sisters found safety with a senior dog rescue, Boots has been waiting for a family of his own. He’s indifferent towards other dogs, so he would thrive as the only pet in a home where he can be spoiled. Although Boots walks well on a leash, he can get excited if he spots something to chase, but he’ll go home with a no-pull harness to help him out. His ideal home will have a securely fenced yard where he can run and play, and due to his prey drive, he shouldn't be around cats or smaller animals. If you’re seeking a loyal companion who wants to love you wholeheartedly, Boots is your guy. He has endured much in his life and is now ready for a forever home that promises he’ll never be abandoned again.
