About Eliza
Meet Eliza! This adorable baby cat is starting her journey from outdoor life to a more secure home through our Community Cats program. Since she has had minimal human interaction, Eliza will need a patient adopter to help her settle in. During her transition, she may hide as she gets accustomed to her new surroundings. We recommend confining her to a safe space, like a cage, to help her feel secure while exploring. If she hides, don’t worry; that’s completely normal. You’ll find that with time, she will come around. To help Eliza learn to trust, it’s important to engage her hands-on with positive experiences. Use tasty wet food to encourage her to associate your presence with something enjoyable. If she’s wary of being petted, consider feeding her by hand to ease her into gentle touch. A friendly resident cat could also provide comfort, helping her adjust more easily. Eliza is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. If you're ready to give her a loving home, be prepared for a delightful learning experience together!
