About Annie
Annie is ready to waddle into your home and become a cherished member of the family. This sweet 12-year-old dachshund recently joined Vintage Pet Rescue after her owner passed away. She has shown remarkable bravery during this transition, and she’s eager to enjoy the warmth of a loving home again. Annie adores people and gets along fantastically with other dogs. She’s always up for a cozy lap to sit on and appreciates a good nap in a comfortable spot. Weighing in at nearly 17 pounds, she has some extra weight, which is important to manage for her health. Annie has a recessed vulva, making her prone to urinary tract issues, so a little extra care is needed. Helping her reach a healthier weight through portion control and gentle exercise will definitely help her feel better overall. Until then, kindly wipe her clean after potty breaks to prevent irritation. Annie's left eye is non-visual due to a prior injury, but it doesn't cause her any pain and doesn’t require surgery. She's been on antibiotics recently but her health looks good overall. Vintage Pet Rescue will arrange for a dental exam in the future, ensuring she's set for her next chapter. Annie is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. If you feel a connection with Annie, consider bringing her home. Let’s start her journey towards a brighter, happier life together.
