Babe is a 2-year-old female Beagle with a small build. She weighs 24.6 pounds and has a tricolor coat (brown, black, and white). Babe is a gentle soul who is still learning about trust and comfort, and she will thrive in a calm environment. She's not yet house trained, and her history requires a special approach, promoting patience as she grows.

About Babe

Meet Babe. This 24.6-pound Beagle sweetheart is just starting her journey toward trusting people. After having puppies in May, she found herself being given away for free on Facebook. Thankfully, a caring foster stepped in to ensure that Babe would have a safe and loving future. Currently, Babe is quite timid. When she feels unsure, her instinct is to freeze. She’s not ready for leash walks yet and won’t step outside on her own for potty breaks. Instead, she needs to be carried onto the deck, where she often goes potty before rushing back inside to her safe corner of the couch. Though she’s not ready to play yet, Babe enjoys the company of other dogs and seems comforted by their presence. A calm, confident canine companion could boost her confidence. Her experiences with humans have made her cautious; treats don’t interest her just yet, and she prefers to eat when no one is watching. Babe is looking for someone who understands that healing takes time. She needs a quiet home where she can feel safe and learn to trust. With patience and kindness, this gentle girl can discover what it means to feel loved and finally at home. If you’re ready to celebrate small milestones, like the first wag of her tail or the first treat she accepts, Babe could be the perfect fit for you. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
