About Roxy

Roxy is a lovely 48 lb girl with an endearing spirit and long legs reminiscent of a giraffe. She embodies sweetness with her playful and gentle nature. Found in a cemetery alongside over a dozen other dogs, she has shown remarkable resilience and adaptability, currently thriving in a sanctuary in south Texas, close to the Texas/Mexico border. This friendly dog is about 2 years old and gets along splendidly with dogs of all sizes. Roxy craves companionship and is a dedicated cuddler, often snuggling up next to her humans. While she enjoys chasing the pigs on the farm, she is gentle with them and only playful. Described as a loyal shadow, Roxy prefers to stay close to her people. She is crate trained, quiet when left alone, and great with well-behaved children. However, she has a curious side and can be an escape artist, enjoying adventures in the nearby woods. Roxy would thrive in an active home with other dogs where she can play and have regular exercise. Roxy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm positive but undergoing treatment with all necessary precautions, and will receive a veterinary clean bill of health before her journey to a new home.
