Meet Joseph, a charming 6-8 year old Husky/Shepherd mix weighing 76 lbs. This friendly boy is on the lookout for his forever family. Although Joseph enjoys the dog play yard, he does need a home without cats. He’s dog and kid approved, making him a wonderful addition to any family. Joseph didn’t like the crate, and he's quite the good traveler in a vehicle — he rides quietly, though he enjoys a good bark at passing dogs. He strolls at a leisurely pace and has a knack for avoiding tangles with the leash. His recall improves significantly with a whistle combined with the command. Joseph’s play style is gentle, and despite any coaxing, he won’t jump up on anyone. He has great leash manners and shows minimal marking behavior on walks, making him easy to handle. In public, he performed excellently, staying clean and enjoying affection from his handlers. Joseph is currently at Del Norte Animal Shelter and can be transported to Portland, OR for the right family. He is microchipped, neutered, and fully vaccinated.
