After being found as a stray in NYC, he quickly revealed his gentle nature, remaining calm and respectful around the children of the woman who rescued him. Having faced challenges in the past, Cooper is living proof that with a little patience and trust, any dog can thrive. The Transformation: When he arrived, Cooper was untrusting and exhibited guarding behaviors. However, just one month of consistent care transformed him! Now, he eagerly accepts treats, happily eats from your hand, and has become a total "kiss monster." His Skills & Personality: As an A+ student, Cooper is highly food-motivated and has mastered commands like "Sit," "Fetch," "Paw," and "Lay Down." His hilarious "Bathroom Dance"—running in circles when he needs to go outside—will always make you smile. Fully house-trained, he enjoys exploring the yard and sniffing every blade of grass. With a taste for bananas, peanut butter, and cookies, a lick mat provides him with much-needed zen moments. What Cooper Needs: Cooper is a high-energy boy still working on his leash manners and can pull when excited. He needs a partner committed to ongoing training. An ideal home would be a solo or two-person household with older children (17+), a cat-free environment, and a yard for him to play ball.
