About Racer
Meet Racer! This brave young cat has shown remarkable resilience and the power of patience. She came to us from the Sacramento SPCA, feeling frightened and unsure of her surroundings. Diagnosed as FeLV positive, Racer instinctively hid from people. Instead of fighting, she observed and learned about a world that seemed daunting to her. One of our dedicated staff members, Cherri, began visiting Racer each day with gentle offerings of food, allowing Racer to approach at her own pace. Over time, that trust blossomed. Now at FieldHaven Marketplace, Racer has transformed into an affectionate lap-sitter who eagerly greets visitors from her enclosure. With FeLV (regressive), Racer requires a home where she can be the only cat or share life with other FeLV-positive cats. She's fully healthy and non-contagious at this time. Racer's journey is a testament to the healing power of kindness, and she's eager to find a loving home. Could you be the one to bring her happiness? Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
