About Lucy
Meet Lucy, a sweet Shi Tzu and Maltese mix who's ready to find her forever home. Lucy came to us in very poor condition, emaciated and likely crated for much of her formative time. Despite this rocky start, she has a gentle spirit and a love for companionship, thriving on human interaction. Lucy enjoys cuddling and playing with toys, and she’s eager for both walks and some gentle outdoor adventures. As she integrates into a new home, Lucy has specific needs. She shows signs of separation anxiety and can bark when left alone, so a home where someone is present most of the time would benefit her. Additionally, she is still learning about crate training and housebreaking. Given her playful nature, a securely fenced yard and another dog would be ideal for her energy levels, while she is not suited for homes with cats. Under the care of a thoughtful foster family, Lucy has made significant strides. Training is ongoing, but she’ll need an adopter who can continue providing her with structure and patience. She can get excited around other dogs and may bark to greet them, so training in social situations will also be necessary. If you believe you can meet her needs, we would love to hear from you. Thank you for considering giving Lucy the loving, committed home she deserves. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
