Bernie Kroger spent almost a year and a half as the unofficial greeter at the Kroger parking lot, becoming a familiar face to countless shoppers who would stop to pet him. Despite his dedicated guardian, concerns grew about the dangers of living in such a busy area. After careful consideration, his guardian realized it was time for Bernie to find a safer, forever home. This gentle cat, while sweet-natured, can be a bit shy in new environments. He will thrive in a patient household that allows him to adjust at his own pace and gradually build trust. Having spent much of his life outdoors, Bernie is still learning how to be an indoor cat. With patience and love, he can discover the safety and comfort of his new lifestyle.
