About Tux
They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply? Tux is a beautiful 8-year-old tuxedo cat who has spent her entire life as a cherished only pet, only to be heartbreakingly surrendered when her family could no longer provide the care she needed due to illness and dementia. This sudden transition has been tough on Tux, and she is currently struggling to adjust to all the changes. She must be the only pet in her new home and is searching for a calm, quiet environment where she can feel secure. When entering a new space, Tux will likely experience stress and may show aggressive behaviors for the first couple of weeks, but this comes from fear rather than any lack of ability to bond with someone new. Given time, patience, and a predictable routine, Tux can develop a deep, lasting bond and become a devoted companion to her person. Because she is front declawed, Tux relies completely on an indoor setting to keep her feeling safe and protected. She will thrive with an experienced and patient cat owner who understands it takes time to earn her trust—but the reward is well worth the wait. A foster-to-adopt trial is available, and her rescue group is committed to taking her back if things don’t work out. This could be the start of something paw-some.
