About Bubba
Meet Bubba, an affectionate and gentle 3-year-old Lab/Pyrenees mix who truly wants to belong. He came to us from Louisiana after being surrendered with two other dogs when his owner faced difficulties. Now safe and secure, Bubba weighs around 70 pounds, working towards a healthier 80, and he has a loving soul that shines through. Fully house trained and calm, he’s not destructive and prefers to navigate on rugs rather than slippery wood floors. Bubba loves the outdoors and enjoys the company of both dogs and cats; a secure fenced yard is essential for his happy existence. While he tends to bond more with women and feels anxious with collars, he’s best walked in a harness. As a shadow dog, Bubba is happiest when he's near someone who cares. He is shy and timid but shows no aggression whatsoever. Patience is vital, as he needs time to adjust—ideally two weeks. He thrives best in a home where someone is frequently present, especially with another friendly dog to help boost his confidence. Bubba is up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and currently undergoing heartworm treatment, for which we will provide all necessary medications. Potential adopters should note that children must be 7 years or older, and crating is not preferred—using a baby gate is recommended.
