About Tucker

Tucker is one of four labby puppies who came from a crowded shelter, where the chaos and noise made them retreat into their shells. Now in a safe foster home, he’s learning to trust and explore. Although he is still shy around new people and environments, Tucker is making progress each day. Soft voices and gentle touches have helped him discover the joys of toys, treats, and being held. This sweet, gentle boy will flourish in a patient home that understands the needs of timid puppies. He benefits from calm routines and slow introductions to new experiences. While another friendly dog could help his confidence, it's not a requirement for his happiness. For Tucker, a fenced backyard is essential so he can safely play and potty. He currently uses a pet door at the foster home to go outside, making it easier for him to understand that potty time is outdoors. Adopters should be home often during the day to spend quality time with him. Crating isn’t ideal; he works best in a puppy pen or baby-gated area when unsupervised. Tucker is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped, though he will not be neutered prior to adoption. Adopters will sign a spay/neuter agreement and may qualify for a $100 rebate once the procedure is completed. If you're ready to help this sensitive puppy find his forever home, apply today!
