About Ivy
Ivy is currently residing at Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center in Kansas City, MO, and is excited to showcase the skills she's learning. She's enrolled in a program called Confidence College designed to help canines like her build confidence. Adoption includes a free 30-minute private training session to help you both get started on the right foot. Ivy comes from a challenging background, having been rescued from a hoarding situation. As a result, she may require a little extra time to adapt to the comforts of home life. While she’s spent time with other dogs and enjoys their company, she hasn’t interacted with many people, so you can expect some initial shyness. However, once she feels safe, she delights in playing with her favorite toys! Ivy's ideal home would have a social dog to guide her and a secure, fenced yard where she can romp around. It’s important that she meets any resident dogs before adoption to make sure they get along. A home with children aged 6 and older is preferred, as she tends to be nervous around younger kids and loud noises. She'll also need to go home with a special anti-slip martingale collar to keep her safe. This rewarding journey with Ivy requires patience and love. With a little time and guidance, she can flourish into a loving companion. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
