About Sasha
Meet Sasha! This sweet, approximately one-year-old pup and her brother, Groot, wandered as strays in the sugarcane fields of rural Southeast Louisiana before finding themselves in a shelter. Sadly, no one came to claim them. While her exact breed is a bit of a mystery, she seems to be a mix, possibly including Cattle Dog, and her unique look will surely steal your heart. Weighing in at just 21 pounds, Sasha is ready for a fresh start. When Sasha first arrived, her skin and coat were in rough shape due to a non-contagious condition called Demodex mange. Fortunately, this is easily treatable with medicated baths, and she's already on the mend. Before adoption, Sasha will be fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. Remarkably, she tested heartworm negative, which is great news! Sasha is playful and happy, adoring everyone she meets, especially children. She gets along well with other dogs and has shown sheβs completely unbothered by cats, proving her friendly nature. Despite her tough past, she remains a loving and resilient girl.
